Christmas time is around the corner and this Holiday season our school’s Luke 4:18 committee, will be leading the York Regional Holiday Heroes Campaign. This year marks the 27th anniversary of the Holiday Heroes campaign. Holiday Heroes has been able to change the lives of many families and make their Holiday season brighter. We know this year has been hard for everyone. Covid-19 has affected everyone, especially our more vulnerable populations and this Advent our school is looking to give back to the less fortunate.
From Monday November 28th to Thursday December 8th, 2022 we encourage our students to bring in donations. While they are grateful for every donation received including unwrapped toys, every year they struggle to meet the needs of children between the ages of 11-18 , and infants. Gift cards are welcomed, as they ensure that the recipients can select what they need most. Also this year, with rising food costs, the need for grocery gift cards is higher than ever. Please consider gift cards to grocery and department stores. Please avoid gift cards to fast food places and restaurants. Donations for babies include: diapers, wipes, food pouches, formula, clothing, blanket and development games.
