Catholic School Council Nominees 2024-2025

Dear Parents & Guardians of the Blessed Scalabrini community

Thank you to the 2024 -2025 nominees who have declared their candidacy for an elected position as a parent/guardian representative on the Catholic School Council. Each candidate was asked to write a brief biography. On Tuesday October 1, 2024 at 6:30 pm, the 2023-2024 Council will be dissolved and the council for this school year will be assembled. Thank you for your commitment to Catholic Education past, and future members of the Council. 

Jeoff Shiekh

I am a corporate lawyer who loves sports such as basketball.  I have a daughter who attends Blessed Scalabrini in Grade 6.  I served as the Chairperson of the Catholic School Council during the 2023-2024 school year. 

Sally Gerguis

I am interested in continuing in the position of Treasurer for this school year.I have over 15 years of experience in administration, bookkeeping and accounting.

Paloma Cedro

My son has been a student at Blessed Scalabrini since 2021.  My background is in law and the legal system.  I was the Catholic School Council secretary providing minutes of our meetings last year.   I was also a  lunchtime supervisor (employee of the board) for the past two years. I would like to be considered for the Chairperson or Co-Chair position this school year.  

Kathy Gonzales

I was previously on the Catholic School Council for 2022-2023 as the Secretary. I am interested in continuing in  the position of School Community Representative.

Nino Kopaliani 

I have graduated from the medical university, and love taking care of people and meeting interesting people.  You can always count on me, and am happy my son is studying at Blessed Scalabrini.  

Jennifer Tavares

My background is in corporate services and communications.  I am an events planner and have experience in finance and sales.  I have a daughter at the school  

Evelina Pribula

I am an accountant and love to garden. I take care of the school garden at the main entrance.  I was a member of the Council last year.
